Ron Hulet
CHIEF STRATEGY OFFICER
Ron brings an engineer’s mindset and a lifelong love of problem-solving to his work at Havarti. Over a 20-year career at Elevance, Ron ascended from an entry-level position to become Chief Actuary of Carelon, Elevance’s risk-taking entity. Under his leadership, Carelon experienced remarkable growth, expanding its business from $1 billion to $30 billion.
At Havarti, Ron applies his deep experience to helping startups and growth-stage businesses effectively communicate their value proposition, establish sustainable revenue streams, and navigate the complexities of business ownership. His guiding principle is straightforward: solutions matter—but only if people actually use them.
Outside of professional life, Ron enjoys spending time with his wife and four children and actively contributes to the community by serving on the boards of several non-profit organizations. These organizations support students locally and globally, from Indianapolis to Nairobi, Kenya.
Ron is a member of the American Academy of Actuaries.

Tamre Pinner
CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER
Tamre has built a decades-long career in operations and customer success, creating operational processes across industries including credit unions, private wealth management, and healthcare startups.
She feels she has found her "people" at Havarti, drawn to their non-traditional approach, focus on big ideas, and desire to avoid bureaucracy.
When someone asks if you’re up for something a little crazy, Tamre usually says, “Yes!” That’s how she ended up opening a co-working space at an innovation hub in the middle of the pandemic, one of only eight innovation hubs in the U.S. at the time. Tamre quickly filled the space with over 200 members, including Keith Passwater.
At Havarti, Tamre prioritizes client success and maintains Havarti’s unique culture while ensuring smooth company operations. Tamre enjoys spending downtime with her husband, who shares her concern for their two teenage children who are now driving. She is also a competitive pinball player, ranking in the top 20 female players in Indiana.

Keith Passwater
FOUNDER AND CEO
Keith is former Senior Vice President and Chief Actuary of Anthem (Elevance). After consulting with clients in need of risk solutions, Keith founded Havarti Risk to bring better risk products and services to healthcare clients. Keith currently serves as an Advisor to Aegle Health Partners, Ellipsis Health, Ilant Health, MediDrive, and MOBE. In addition, he is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, a member of the American Academy of Actuaries, and serves as Chair of the General Committee of the Actuarial Standards Board.
